hot stuff

    my bike is over heating in a big way about two weeks ago i ran the battery flat would this be the cause of my problem if not i think i might have a blocked pipe or some thing because ill top the coolent up and it just spits it out and over heats

    As a trial, pull the thermostat out and see if that cures the overheating problem. It would be the most likely fault... if that fixes it, then get a new one. Search for previous posts on overheating too.

    i just put a new one in about 5 000 ks ago would one blow that soon

    I would expect one to last longer than that, but I have seen them go in a short time as well.     yer i dont even have a thermostat ripped it out so i know its not the problem but just make sure you just cut the spring part out and put the rest back in as it has to have some sort of restriction in flow.

    a previous owner removed mine and has what looks to be hard wired two computer fans ive been on some relatively long rides and no dramas so far

    ok so i took her to a shop and he said after doing some tests and flushing the cooling system he found that a pipe was leeking coolent and this same hole was letting air into the cooling system from the bottom and it was passing though the system this is what was causing the heat

    so he fixed the pipe and after a good wash it running better then ever
