Ok Drewzor...i tried your revving thing today and the bike sounded the same both times, no misfriing, gurgling, banging or anything...just that nice sound of a sports bike revving its backside off ... i also really tried to practice my clutch manipulation when taking off in 1st gear and the slower i let the clutch out and put more revs into the bike at the same time it seemed to take off a bit smoother...it kinda felt unatural though, i guess you could say i was kinda riding the clutch, but it seemed to take off beter when i did that (except for on the way home when i went for my first hill start in the middle of peak hour traffic and stalled the bloody thing...oops)

I also put normal unleaded in it to see how this tank goes and i also stuck in a third of a bottle of injector cleaner...so ill see how that affects the bike also.

Hey Guys...Just a little bit of follow up feedback .... I have just come back from a nice LOOOOOOOONG ride today, did about 180 kilometres in total (around sydney) and i have been running normal unleaded for the last 2 days since we spoke about it..i have been running Caltex ULP which i think is 91, and the bike has been running a treat I have had no cut outs in traffic like i was getting last week, and the flat spot i was getting in first gear seems to have gotten a LOT better!! I have also gained some very valuable riding experience today..!st is when the bike aint warm, she aint gunna idle too well hahaha..i have worked out to let her warm up for atleast ten minutes before i take off and she goes really good.... I also gained the biggest lesson today that i needed....THE HILLSTART!! Yesterday coming home from work i again had a really bad episode with a hill start on a really steep hill in peakhour traffic...and lets just say it was pretty nerv wrecking!!! 3 times i failed it...and i just had to eventually get off and walk the bike up onto the footpath and have a ciggies coz by that stage i was sweating up hard with nerves..... so this morning my mission was simple....go and find the steepest hill i could out near the Blue mountains and just sit on it until i had it sorted.... the first ten minutes was just like yesterday,,, revs up, rear brake on slwoly let out the clutch......engine dies! this went on for about ten minutes before i turned the bike around rode down the hill and went for a blurt and came back to have another go...but this time, i attacked it with a bit more aggression in the throttle department....the first go wasnt pretty, but after a few lurches i wasas up the hill and off, the second go was better,,, and then each time i came back it just got easier and easier after realising that on a hill as steep as this one i just had to give it heaps of revs to get it up there....and it was great....so all day today i have been chuffed becuase every hill i came across i would pull over...wait till no cars were coming... and have a go at the hill...and guys!!! NO MORE STALLING I am happy with my bike now, and i am starting to feel like i am understanding my bike a bit more and loving it!!!! Sorry to bore anyone who has read this far but my missus will just sit there and say "thats great dear" so i had to share it with people who will hopefully have a giggle and reminisce to the days when they were in the same situation!!! Cheers
