    Hi Poorboy,
I have the same problem, but it is simply solved. All you need is the part numbers which Toowoomba Yamaha should have. Although I have been to that store myself and I know what you went through (not buying a new R1, who cares about your fzr). Just tell them to look up the part numbers. If they are like yamaha where I live they tried to tell me that they could not read Japanese (I replied that they only need the number and that's it, the guy replied again that he could not read Japanese and I told him that Japanese numbers are just like normal numbers, 1,2,3 and so on). Somewhere on this forum is the parts list so do a search and tackle the Yamaha store that way. You may need a cattle prod (look on ebay). Depending on what you need go to the bike store in Pool street? (near PCYC) and talk to Wayne, and best of luck.

thanks for the quick reply. yer the guy at toowoomba yamaha was a bit like that ay. he just rambled on bout how he can't read japanese. um i'll have a search on this site for part numbers. i need radiator, water pipes, the o-rings for them, the bottom radiator hose(the black flexable one), clutch plates and springs and tappet cover gasket. i was thinking i should get a new airbox to ause someone has made the 4 holes in the bottom bigger so the rubber carbie boots just slid in and out with gaps around them, or i might just put some silicone around the holes(the cheaper option lol).

oh and i can't find pool street. what is the name of the store.

i'm gunna go to independent motorcylce wreckers as well, he always looks after his customers well.

    cheers,

Unfortunately the manual here is a series of scanned pages (images) which has been then printed into a PDF conversion program.

Normally PDF's are created from an original text file.

You would need to get a japanese optical character recognition (OCR) program to convert to japanese text then translate from that...

    It's a big job...
