hi guys - can anyone tell me if all rubbers are safe to use around brake fluid - or is it only special ones? the rubber seal on my brake fluid resivour cap is leaking and while i try and find a genuine one i want to use something to seal it up - any ideas? i was thinking of a liquid gasket (rubber) of some sort. thanks

get a proper cap.. if it leaks on your paintwork it will be ruined instanly

yeah was just wondering if there was something i could do in the meantime while waiting for the part...i fiddled around with it, took the rubber out and cleaned the lid...seems that the rubber only has a really small contact on the lids flange..so if its not seated properly then it leaks... re did it and i *think* its all a ok now...why they dont just use bigger gasket im not sure..anyway
