What speed and RPM do you use to pop the clutch and get the front wheel up?

first gear at 8000 rpm then pop at 14000 rpm

anyone tried to wheelie on their pillion pegs?

i find getting a roll up to 6k then pull the clutch in rev to 14k-16k and let her go
if you wanna get some good height make sure you rip back on the bars when you pop the clutch and position yourself as far back as possible

in saying this theres a time and place for doing it
be safe

I did my first wheelie today was great fun. Rolling at 4000 clutch at probably 12 or 14. Was only a little, but felt awesome.

How has it been Koma - been a while since I have seen you post..
I think you would be pleased that the site is still active after the quiet spell 18 months ago. We nearly folded due to lack of member interest but now the site ticking along smoothly.

Got another bike yet?

changing gear without useing clutch.
up is easy and fairly harmless. down grindes the gears a bit..
lots of people do it on motoX cos it looses less power than normal.
but it kills the gearbox.

Clutchless upshifts are NOT fairly harmless; they can and do damage your gear teeth, dogs, shafts, and shift forks. FZRs have notoriously bad 2nd gears as it is, and wide (street) gear spacing. The wider the gear spacing the greater the shock. If you want to slam shift from 4-5-6, fill your boots. Don't even THINK about hard shifting from 1-2.

its all bout matching the rev... if you know ur fzr250 good enough you can do the upshift without clutch...
personally i do clutchless up shift when i'm on highway or when my speed is fast enough to do that... (i.e. i dont know my bike well enough)
1 thing for sure tho this fzr250 do have bad bad 2nd gear... i kicked into phatom gear like 2 or 3 times... the sound of grinding gear scared the **** out of me....

mine does it very easy... but my clutch is a bit rubbish anyway, when i shift fast, from a roundabout or somthing, its much easyer to crunch it up to 5th.

LOL,
I was going to say same thing (RE: Clutch replacement and also lurking)

IMHO, if you want to get the front wheel up, do it on a bigger bike (Though kudos for trying )

Yeah whats all this clutch talk. Just sit back and rip on some throttle. Oh crap you need some torque for that. My bad.

change your front or rear sproket would be the best way to practice so you dont ruin your clutch so fast i rekon

Everyone has good points..... but i'd say leave the wheelies for the bigger bikes if you have the power you wont need to ask how.
I dread the thought of a 20 odd year old bike getting the clutch dropped on it like that.
just my opinion though.
