Hey Guys
Today was a truly **** day for me. I went to Lawrence Drive at Nerang on The Gold Coast, parked my bike like your supposed to on the side of the road on the parking lane, and went into a bike accessories shop to grab another set of gloves.
Came out jumped on my bike went to start it.....and it was like it was fuelled up, I thought strange she always starts 1st time these days. Anyway got it going, went to grab the front brake lever, grabbed nothin but air! WTF! I thought weres my lever, looked down at the ground and then I realised what the hell had happened. On the ground lay a broken front right indicator and a snapped front brake lever. By now my blood temp was gettin pretty f@#kin high, lookin at the right hand side of my bike, the lower fairing was scratched and the engine cover has scratches all over it, right mirror was all banged up and the front fairing(and subframe) was boken near mirror.
My theory is sum ***** reverse parked into my bike, freaked out, but had the compunction to stand it up and then take off!!!
Devastated......my baby which was lookin great now looks like a scummy track bike.
But really people are just shits arent they, they didnt even have the ballz to own up to it and leave some details. This is the second time in 3 weeks my bike has been damaged, not by me but by someone either trying to steal it or run the bloody thing over.
Anyway with a bit of old fashioned ingenuity it doesnt look as poxy after an afternoons work ie, my right mirror is useable again, replaced brake lever, fabricated some galv, and reinforced the front fairing were broken (cant even see it unless u get up close) and indicator etc, but still i wanna someone over this

Commiserations, MetalBaker. There's just no way to feel good about that. Hopefully you took the opportunity to upgrade your brake lever, something custom and sweet?

Thanks guys. But you know what, being the optimist I am, I think this is an opportunity to actually do what I have wanted to do the bike since I got it..........change it to what I want. So I am going to get a respray, fix all the fibreglass(mine has all fibreglass race fairings accept rear which is plastic), and totally personalise it. I have some cool ideas but I am not going to say until its finished. Lets just say no other Fizzer will look like mine One thing I will say though is that it wont have the words EXUP, FZR or Yamaha plastered all over it.......I think less is more, and I want people to think "what sorta bike is that?" Give me a month or so to get it all organised and done and will post pics!
