problem i have with bike is it is over fueling as when you ride it and have to stop at lights when you go to take off it will have no power and will stall and when you go to start it again you can get it going but is like it flooded and you have to hold the throttle just on and then go off and then pull it on a lot and it will come clean and go but will do it again when you stop again i have put a other set of carbys on it to try fix it but did the same again clean out the old carbys and put the back on and still does it if anyone has any ideas it would be great thanks

Have you tried checking the valve clearances.. this problem seems to only occur on 3LN's, and they have different valve timing to the 2KR.

believe it or not, i had the same problem... during the summer when i first got the bike.. i've got a 3ln5...

the carb was good, the fuel was just too low <!-- s:shock: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_eek.gif" alt="" title="Shocked" /><!-- s:shock: --> and i did not reconize it... after it stalled on its own, the carb got some time to vapourize the fuel before you start it again. once you get the engine reving air flow will help draw in fuel.

also i haven't had this problem after going through a bottle of carb cleaner... (2 tanks of gas) this is probably a useless comment since you've already try to clean up the carb physically =.=

dude i have to agree with dave,i have encountered the same problem like yours with the same bike, more likely it is a valve clearance problem, check it first by yourself before going to a mechanic,i'm sure you could save some money like me........

I will only be too pleased if some-one actually fixes that problem and leaves a post as to what caused it. HINT HINT!

I have seen it happen personally on another members bike.

does anyone know what the valve set up is?
i think that might be up with my bike, as it wont idle without giving it a little and i have just cleaned out the carbs and fuel tank/lines.

the guy has pulled the carbys off the bike and striped them down the needle is worn on on all four carbys and has a wear line on all of them so he said that that will be the start of the problems and he said he has worked on them before and the bike is know for carby problems
