hey guys im just wondering if anyone can help me with this one?
After alot of different phone conversations ive worked out that my 3ln engine is from a zeal explaining the odd engine vin, its all strapped in but i have about 3 problems
. there is a different electronic plug on the zeal engine that comes off a ground wire on the back of the bike, just behind the clutch. Its a male socket with a single plug inside. (connected to the o ring ground wire)
the other one is there is no wire coming from the bottom of the sump, im guessing it has something to do with oil pressure, will this matter ?
the bikes tacko and chip rev to 1800, the new engine only goes to 1600 a possible fix would be very welcome.

if anyone can help me i'd be over the hill

As for the electrical connections I can't help but the Zeal engine specs suggest that the cam shafts are very different, so power delivery will at much lower revs.

Look at it this way, it will be living when all other FZR's are long dead.

I dont follow what you wee saying about the O-ring ground wire?? Do you mean the earth. That can go anywhere on the engine as long as its a good contact to a main aluminium part of the engine.

The oil pressure sender, could you put the FZR switch i nthe zeal motor?? Is there provision for it in the Zeal sump???
I think the CDI needs that input. Well it looked to me that the 2KR did that i just stipped the loom apart for.

With the revs, you know so just dont rev it that hard. The only way to fix it would be to get the tacho from a zeal and fit that to your dash.

Im not sure how its going to work with the FZR CDI running the Zeal engine with the different cams in it.

I guess you will find out.
