My FZR's Clutch lever is bent slightly and is awkward on the wrist to pull in at its current position. If i move it up its a lot easier but it presses on a red button on the other side of the handle. What does it do? Might be a stupid question but i have asked a few people and no one seems to know. Bike is a 3LN 250 registered as a 1988 but im pretty sure its 89.
If it's the trigger style switch, that's your 'pass button' it changes your lights to high beam while you hold it. Used to signal that you're going to pass someone, or that there's a speed camera coming . Cowmoo
Oh, I thought he was saying that there was a switch on the end of the bar end, didn't think of the pass switch.
As to the year - the 3LN1 was in production from March 1989 onwards and had an ALLOY frame. The previous model 2KR has a steel frame. Unless there is a date on the frame there is no way to tell if the 2KR was made in 1988 or '89 The frame serial number may give a bit of a clue, let us know what it is..
lol i didn't even realise it was for passing.. i thought its only use was to let people know that <!-- s:cop --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_cop.gif" alt=":cop" title="Cop" /><!-- s:cop --> is up ahead <!-- s:roll: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_roll.gif" alt=":roll:" title="Rolling LoL" /><!-- s:roll: -->
