I couldn't find mine at first either, but that is because I was used to my friends dirt bike (with the steering lock on the frame) the one on my bike at least is built into the ignition lock, just turn the bars all the way left and the key should turn further anti-clockwise. Its possible to remove the key from the ignition lock in two places, off and the steering lock position.
    Hope that helped.

You guys should find that it will lock a lot easier if you press the key into the ignition when in the off position. It can go one click further than steering lock which leaves the tail light on. (park lights for a motorbike i guess).
