blowing a fuse means either the fan has failed - connect it across a battery to see if it works or not - or there is a short in the circuit that drives it. What else is powered by the fuse (if anything)? You may need a multimeter to check. Maybe the fan sender unit has failed and is shorting to earth causing the fuse to blow???

Im an electrition I shorted the fans wires to the bikes frame and blew the fuse but I've not idea what the fuse will look like or where it will be I half traced the wires back to these big black boxes and then ran out of daylight so I couldn't test them.

Yeah, I think all the fuses are in a black box that sits just behind and above the battery, the black cover is just a kind of click/snap fit over the top. Ithink there is 4 fuses max with maybe 1 spare. Will try to take a pic over this weekend. Inside the lid of the black box is like a list of fuses and their rating.

Omron makes lots of electrical gear - in particular, relays.. I suspect you have found 1 of 3 relays - Fuel pump, Starter, and Flasher.
