hi, i just disassembled my carburetor set wish is made of 4 carburetors.
after cleaning etc.... i put everything back in, when i now look at the carbs,
i think that my #3 and #4 carbs are swapped, cause of the the drain fuel screws.
their supposed to be opposite to each other, but in my case their facing each other, so i can't fit my screw driver in the screw hole.
i wont be needing this feature so far ( i think so ) , would that be necessary to disassemble again, or i can live with it ?

    thanks !

well correct me if im wrong, but after inspecting the float bowl covers, i figured out, it dosen't matter in what order they are, as they do no obstruct the floats at all.....so i made them like this: / \ / \
just finished the carbs rebuilt !!!
however i needed hmmm ( i think it's called the float valve), the little needle that goes down the fuel hole, to stop it !
and i couldn't find any, had to bought a used carb set (4), same model that i have, and i bought it for 58$ (hopefully a good price), and i used some pieces from it, wish seemed in better conditions that the one i allready have !

The part(s) you want are the Needle Valve Assembly, 3GM-14107-10-00, also used on the YZF750s. You can find them for as low as $18 per set online.

    Carb drains - I'd want it as easy as possible to get at from each side. If you can't do // \ \, then try / \ \ \ or / / / \.

/\ /\ makes no sense to me. You'd have to access your left-inner carb drain from the right, and the right-inner carb from the left - what?!

check the fuel level (with a gauge / tool thingy)
check that there really is fuel getting to the carbs
check that the fuel isn't full of crap
draining accumulated crap out of the bowls
draining the bowls for storage, so the trapped fuel doesn't turn to crap and plug the jets
draining the bowls prior to removing the carbs so they don't spill all over the battery (ahem)

I have learned from experience on this one.........

Junk any fuel from the bike and use fresh! At least you know 100% it's good to go........
