    Hey guys, My FZR is now running perfectly. so I am ready to share my settings so hopefully some of you can sort issues out.
    These are settings for a different kind of air filter, its an aftermarket filter <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.uniflow.com.au/contents/en-us/p834.html">http://www.uniflow.com.au/contents/en-us/p834.html</a><!-- m -->
    I live in Vic, Australia so these settings might be different depending on climate and shi t

    I set my fuel level to the line, it works well for me. I found that anything more would flood the carbs at take off. The way I checked my height was to put the carbs on the bike, then unscrew the screw and turn the bike on.
    I also put my fuel/air ratio to about 4 out. This is not the factory standard (3) but it seems to work fine.
    Make sure you check your valves! particularly if your bike is running crap when it is hot, that was my issue!
    Check for air leaks! new boots may be needed if yours are cracked!
    Check for my air leaks where the carby connects to the air box, I silicone mine together to prevent any leaks.
    Make sure those carbies are synchronized! I didnt realise how much difference it would make to my bikes performance. If the diy sync doesnt work just buy one. They are on ebay for around $100 and its a one off purchase! search for motion pro.

    I hope this helps. It has taken me more then a year to get this bike running right and I hope this information allows you to sort out some problems with your 3ln.

    Cheers

    Thank you Dave for all of your help and for your fantastic forum!

    You did most of the hard work. <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D -->
    All good advice to anyone with carb problems.
    Maelstrom also has a kit of carby o-rings for the 3LN1 available now, so things are looking positive for the FZR users. <!-- l --><a class="postlink-local" href="http://fzr250.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=3938">viewtopic.php?f=2&t=3938</a><!-- l -->

    Hey guys, just a quick update.. bike is working ace still, all those settings work very well. Just a tip if your still having any issues.. I took out my spark plug leads and trimmed them back 1cm so the plugs had new contact with the leads. This helped aswell. Hope this helps. <!-- s:Biker1: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/th_Biker_1.gif" alt=":Biker1:" title="biker_1" /><!-- s:Biker1: -->
