Mysterious Wiring Plug Connector

    I noticed ages ago, but i didnt think about posting it before. I have this weird plug connector under my 2kr seat.
    It looks like there should have been something connected to it, but there's nothing there. Does anyone have this
    connection under their seat.
    I might have to put pix up of it, so you know what im on about....

    Hey there,

    I wouldn't worry about it mate, as long as the bike is running correctly and there are no issues with your lighting or charging system just leave it be. Sometimes bike looms were shared from different models of bikes with slight modifications, if you were concerned about it shorting out or causing problems you could check to see if there is any voltage there with a multimeter or just tape it off using insulation tape.

    Working on some much older bikes like early 80's XL250s and the likes you find many plugs that look like they should go somewhere but don't, if it doesn't affect the running of the bike, leave it be <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->

    funny you should post about a weird plug under the seat of your 2KR.....I have a weird-looking plug under the pillion seat of my 2KR. No photo, but it almost looks like a starter solenoid, with the 2 poles joined together with some plastic tube insulating them ??? Looks weird - will get a pic.....if anyone knows what this is, it would be appreciated <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->

    yeah ,its really random
    I have no idea what it could be, but the bike runs without it so meh
