    Hey, Has anyone put premium 95 fuel in their FZRs?, I put sum in mine today and it doesn't seem to like it.
    It idles fine but when i go to take off, there i not much power. Maybe my bike just needs a good tune.
    Has anyone experienced this? I tried it ages ago and it had a negative effect, but the bike wasnt running
    as well before i put it in then so i thort id try it now. I thort the bike would like it, my Commodore drinks it like its beer.

    Engines set up for Regular fuel - like the FZR marque - will lose power when fed premium (higher octane)gas. The higher octane burns more slowly; this is desirable to prevent knock when the engine has been modified for increased power (more compression, more spark advance, etc), but strangles the output on a stock motor.

    And isnt fuel expensive enough without paying the xtra for premium?

    Put BP 91 reg in it and see if it makes it better

    The fuel combustion speed probably makes more difference with our little screamers than it does with their bigger brothers - a fuel that will completely burn at 14000 rpm (FZR400) may leave a significant fraction unburned at 18000rpm.

    Talking about bikes, I put a post on here before about a problem i was having
    with the bike idling weirdly. I was using it before and it took me about 10 mins to
    get it going. The problem is it seems like its choking. i think grey import explained that the valves
    might have been sticking.Can someone plz explain it all to me. i have never had this problem before with a
    bike and im stumped. On a separate note, i got my motorcycle full license.. HOORHAY LORENZO....... <!-- s:-| --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_bike.gif" alt=":-|" title="Bike" /><!-- s:-| -->
