    hey all,

    Ive been looking around on ebay for pistons to help me in my potential far future engine rebuild.
    Well I found performance pistons kits (set of 4), standard and oversized at 0.25 and 0.5

    Here will be a stoopid question,
    ...If i got the 0.25 im assuming i will have to get the cylinder rebored at 0.25 yes..or will it fit in the standard cylinder?
    ..Aaaand is it actually beneficial as in will i get more power out of doing this or not?

    What sort of extra things do i need to do as in tuning wise?

    Cheers, Kris <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->

    can you add the link to these pistons ?

    and yeh, if you get o/s pistons then you will need to have the cylinders bored & honed to suit. Only a machine shop can do this and they will need the new pistons when you give them the block so they can match each piston to each bore.

    If your old pistons were really worn and not sealing properly, then the new pistons will restore power. How much extra power you get will depend on how bad the old pistons were. It isn't going to make a massive difference but it should be noticeable.

    Just from memory one member reported that 2KR pistons have the a different gudgeon height to a 3LN piston, and therefore one has longer conrods to match.

    Bottom line is those pistons will only suit one series engine and it looks like its the 3LN

    You need to find a set of 3ln conrods to go with the 3ln pistons.
