Where does that go?

    Re wrapping my wiring loom today and found this wire (brown with red line)
    Should it be connected somewhere?

    1937 Royal Enfield 250, CF Moto 250 V5, Honda's XL250, CBR250, FT500 plus a few others.
    Don't know off hand, but would suggest it has been added (taped joint??) to supply power to something else. Do you have a wiring diagram?

    most rear brake light switches have 2 wires, as Murdo suggests above, I would assume someone has joined the other wire in to fix another electrical gremlin.
