So after stripping my Balius ZR250, painting it, modding it, and putting it back together I have a random wire that I don't know where it should connect. It comes from the front under the tank (that area). I can't see what it should connect to. Any thoughts? Cheers. See pic.
As said above, looks like the horn. But attached a multimeter to the terminals and start pressing button and switches around to confirm. Could it be the clutch or brake switch? *edit* Ok, just saw McLaren's post. Yes, whatever they said above (sorry, still dizzy after end of financial rush)
Seems it's the horn. Put the multimeter on it and shows a voltage once pressing the horn switch. So looks like I have all the wires figured out, though won't turn over. Must be missing something else
Hay those look alot like coil wires to me. there should be 2 more that look the same. All 4 go on the 2 ignition coils.
if the wires are RED and Black or RED and GREEN 100% for sure they coil wires. They can't be the clutch switch on the handle bar controls cause they are not part of the main loom they are attached to the handle bar controls that plug into the loom and they should not be the horn cause the horn should have round shaped plastic protectors. There should be two other wires either red and black or green and red about 10 cm either up the loon towards the high beam relay which is at the end of that branch. Have you plugged in the 4 small female connected wires on to the coils yet? Trust me I have 5 trashed looms in my shed, but good news I stripped one of them of all its tape and stapled it to a board and since U can only get 30m lengths of the trace wires and I have the connections and terminals I will be able to make 3 to 4 brand new heat shirked, that will be tested by an auto electrician before I sell two of them. In the resources section there is a service manual with a wiring diagram also do to the presice nature of Japanese engineering they will only fit where they belong, I know I almost pulled my teeth out trying to install the loom the first time. I might have had the coils around the wrong way!!!! Download the service manual. If you want I can take pictures?
