I commute to work on the bike. I only really cage it if it's looking like serious rain is going to spoil things. It got me wondering how many forum members commute to work on their bikes? Anyone logging serious commuting km's per week? I do about 300km a week. Many will scoff at that so let us know how many km you might be doing.

I only ride one or two days a week because my trip is basically all highway and gets a little boring and just chews tyres. my work trip is 100klm return :)

Before I retired I used to do 60Km per day, some times had to take my truck with stuff on it. Now I commute five steps from my back door. :D

    I do 300, 100k round trip.

    It's around 50% highway 50% main road.

But because it's peak hour going in and out of the city, lane splitting is the biggest advantage for me. 80mins in the car vs 42 on the bike. 37 if I'm trying reenact the Matrix Reloaded chase scene.

Just lane split between cars. Later losers!

I agree revolver. My commute is 80km round trip. About half freeway and half main road. Love the lane splitting!! 45 mins in the car, 30 mins on the bike.

I just have a 30km round trip and I don't work every day of the week but i've got to cross a city at rush-hour every time, my job starts at 18u so it's gridlock every time, for everybody but us 2-wheeled smart guys ;)

My commute is 30kms, each way so 300km if I ride every day but my neck and back and hips usually give out after 2 days on the zx7r. It can half my commute time though

Mine is much the same as above 60km round trip 5/6 days a week.
My old daily, BMK100RS is still trooping after years of all weather day and night service on mostly country roads.
And now has an eye popping 249 K kms on it!

I commute about 200kms a week. Round trip to work and back is only about 40kms. I commute rain, hail or shine.

This could go up quite a bit more next year. Might have to do the trip between Brisbane and Toowoomba once a week.

I'm too busy riding to count kms. :dance2:

I ride whenever I can, the only time I am hesitant is in heavy fog or really strong winds.

I've watched that clip too many times haha

Commuting 40kms for uni, Ipswich to Brisbane, 3 or 4 days a week. Plus the rest of my running around. Lanesplitting is the best after those 5-6pm finishes.

My commute is 52km each way, about half interesting highway and half boring motorway. :headbang:

I work a rotating shift, so most times I'm riding outside peak hours.:dance2:

I must admit I take the car more often in the cooler months though.
