Hi all Name is Cameron Just bought a GSX250F off the all powerful Gumtree for $800 Australian Franks. The guy was a little weird....Don't think he knew much about bikes. When we where looking at buying the bike he said the he did not like the way the bike handled or the position to the back break. Within 20 minuets of getting the bike home i found the steering head bearings where shot and the back break rotor was almost nonexistent. Other than those two things the bike looks in good condition. Started good after fixing the CRAP bodge job connecting the Carbs to the engine. My questions are. Where on the forum can i ask about modding my bike? Eg. aftermarket exhaust, Frame sliders, Break/clutch leavers Ect. Have taken Fairings off to clean/other.
This is a good a place as any to ask about mods. I don't own an accross though, but others do. Many people have no business owning a motorcycle, most of my time is spent fixing other people's bodge jobs.
Hey Cameron Welcome to the forum, that does look quite tidy, congrats on your purchase. Alas the Across didn't get the after market parts attention it deserved so your choices are limited. Roo Racing do a carbon pipe - http://www.rooracing.com/Across.html but you will have to cut your old exhaust to make it fit. Levers are pretty easy to find as the across shared clutch perches with the GSF250 Bandit, I can only assume the brake is the same too , so check eBay for GSF250 levers. As for frame sliders, that is going to be a challenge , while your panels are off, I would check for mounting points and maybe buy a universal set, then modify your panels to suit.
