Bodywork is in good shape , someone has done a bit to it .... not that Ill use it

Bike had fallen over by the time we got home , so a rethink for the tie down system .... not that ol mate avoided too many of the bumps and potholes along the way.
Forks had little oil left as forks compressed easily when tieing it down ..... and any left was on the floor at the end
Wheels look like they will polish up fine
Carbs might need 'work' and I think it needs coolant :fuckyou:

More importantly the fork I need looks 'ok' so far

As long as the Donor bike didnt damage the new Hauler when it went down all is good.
Just what you need... more bike bits :)

    How is the petrol tank?

Carbs might need 'work' and I think it needs coolant

I think you're right on both counts.

Tank seems quite good ... small dent on top , a few nicks , bit of rust inside I think and key doesnt work so I need to drill the lock to get a decent look inside ... petcock wasnt on it

Hmmm 2 years since Ive done anything to this bike ...and only 10 years since I bought it .... time flys when youre having fun :commando:

Anyway tried a startup just now but all I got was backfire
Swapped back to the old TCI and the same .... including a pop from #3 carb
With choke on and starter fluid it pops from all carbs and the exhaust
Need more fuel input as it ran dry pretty quick from filling the bowls initially.
The COPS setup is "untested" till today , so anything is possible

Also oil is leaking from the front right corner of the new rocker gasket

Back to the drawing board or more realistically the lounge + cricket for the time being I say :D
Nice to work in relative comfort though

Excuse the extended coverage of the floor and my foot .... I hate phones

If you don't want to drill the cap in the future, I've had good luck tapping the key as its being turned. It might take a billion taps and a couple hours of your time though.
