Well thanks to Albo for the day off and for the perfect weather, I was able to catch up with well over 100 other bike enthusiasts at the Thursday VJMC Tooradin meetup.

Not a lot of little bikes, but some fantistic bikes on display from older classics to more modern.

Thanks to VJMC for the BBQ food.

There was quite a lot of interest also from the general public who were there with family and friends to soak up the atmosphere.

I have attempted to capture some of the interesting bikes or those types that other members have shown interest in with other post.

All bikes were very well presented.

The was an interesting little boxer engined Velocette and a very nicely presented VTR250 and an SRV250, which I have not seen before.

Nice write up Peter. Lots of great Japanese bikes in those pics. I noticed a few ring-ins as well...I didn't realise the VJMC allowed non-Japanese bikes.

The ring-ins are likely to be 2nd bikes and/or bikes from other clubs. The word gets out when you have an event like this.
Some of the guys from CRAB also hook into this Thursday event.

They even manned the BBQ. A great bunch of guys and a great cause.

It was just great to see such a large variety of bikes on display. More bikes than you would often get at a highly publicised bike event on a weekend.
Some interesting characters to talk to as well.
I was speaking to one spritely old chap of 79 who really seemed to know his stuff and had quite a history with bike riding over the years.

    That makes sense.

Public Holiday and fabulous weather yesterday certainly made that a BIG event. There's normally 20 to 50 bikes at those VJMC Tooradin get togethers.

Weather is certainly improving... Henty Field Days had to close their gates yesterday at 11am with a 2 to 3 hr que to get parking.. Apparently unprecedented numbers and unexpected.... lucky I was there on Tuesday :)

The VJMc outing looked good... plenty of nice bikes.. I do like the SVR. they would be a fun bike by the look of it.

I would love to own the little SRV. I was looking for one after I sold my SRX collection, but none ever came up for sale. Too many bikes now, so good luck if you can find one Andy.
