The only registered one I had. Hence my level of anger.

Bonnet's trashed, headlight mounts broken and radiator bent. Can't open bonnet to check properly beyond that.

Parts arrived for the Fizzer Factory. 55t and 17t for Linkin & my Fzrs' . CEO of Fizzer Factory already has the new chains... Now he just needs to open the factory so we can get some work done!

Bled my front brakes and sprayed the ugly ass green light cowel with matte black plasti dip so it at least kinda blends in with the rest of the bike. I still need to put it all back together early tomorrow morning before the ride to work. Good thing I wake up stupidly early every morning.

image.jpg I'm loving the finish from the plasti dip. When I get around to it, I'll get some body filler and repair all the fairings and do the whole bike.

Fixed up the battery lead today as the tacho was going loopy and found that the negative lead was just sitting there.. no nut to hold it on.

Have also been daydreaming about turboing the 250R

I replaced the main fuse (in front of the battery) today on my ZXR 250c & I figured out why the fuse kept blowing (has done it three times now)
The left hand front indicators wiring was dodgy, fixed it up with heat shrink and the new indicator @kiffsta sent me in the package of parts, and it runs like a dream. Only problem is, it's over heating like a son'a bitch, also sounds like it's running on 3 cylinders and it takes a good 10 minutes to get the thing warmed up in the morning. Not sure what is going on here, but she's getting a service asap!

    *will post photos tomorrow maybe*

Working out which way to go on the zeal. Frames getting powder coated black deciding whether to get the yoke etc painted black as well or a aluminum colour as well as the handle bar. Thoughts?

Also on another note my replacement mirrors rocked up as well as a new set of stickers for the respray. Also thinking of pissing off the 520 chain conversion and going back to factory sprockets and chain. Thoughts?

I would go with the black on the fork clamps. Leave the bars silver.
Factory put the 428 chain on there for a reason, not too much weight to turn with a small motor.

That's exactly what I was thinking, it was one of the previous 5 owners that did the conversion.

The problem is fueling on boost... i have had many a chat about this with a few car people and everyone keeps coming back to the engine requires a lot more fuel when its on boost... that's why people super charge carb engine as they are a constant flow of extra air.. but i have been waning to do it too mate...lol

Well you can either build it on a carbed engine or convert to EFI

Turbo a Suzuki Hayabusa? Sure, makes sense. If you supercharge it, the thing will constantly want to flip you over. At least the lag from the turbo will have you moving so you can try to control it.
But a turbo on a 250 is not a good idea. The poor little things need all the grunt they can get. Fit a Rotrex C8 supercharger (same design as Kawasaki just fitted to their new H2). I am sure there are lots of us who would love to do it, but it is an expensive exercise. You will need a set of Carrillo rods, design and fabricate the drive and plumbing, and then deal with the fuel delivery problem.
Why don't Kawasaki just do it for us, ZXR250RR-SC. We need to start a petition :lolsign:

No, I mean it is not a good idea because of turbo lag. If you wanted to pull 70hp from a 250 I think you would have significant lag problems with a turbo. I am talking about a nice bike for riding rather than a "Salt Flat" record attempt.

I know that this turbo vs super debate goes on forever. But I agree 100% with the view expressed by Kraftwerks "NOT ALL BOOST IS CREATED EQUAL" http://cms.kraftwerksusa.com/id/941/title/
    cheers

70HP is a bit much... I've read that the stock clutch starts to slip after 40HP

Ok, 60 then. It is just an arbitrary number and is not central to the point I am trying to make.
To do the calculations some accurate power figures for a standard engine are needed. If someone wants to give me some then I will supply a more realistic number.
