installed my action camera mount on the ZxR, adjusted the tightness on the front axle, secured the speedo cable and then rode it to the beach also hoisted up my GpZ600 with ratchet straps to the sheds cross-beam ready for a 'potential' teardown
Checked all pilot jets in the carbi now waiting on main jets and to pic up my zxr 250 track bike project
Yesterday : Put in a new gasket for the cam chain tensioner as I had it off a few times and the old one was ,Im sure, the original and half was stuck on the motor and half on the CCT .... and wat an arse to get off. Today: Worked on the carbs , then worked on the carbs , then did a bit on the carbs. Then when I got bored with that I did some stuff on the carbs.
You need about 25 more to fill that shed .......... Today , for a change .... I repaired and built some carbs
Currently giving the bike a fresh lick of paint. I'm working on the tank right now. Did a bit of corrosion treatment to the seam and sprayed it with putty to hide all the bumps. All this fairing repair and paint work is daunting; the tunnel seems very long with barely any light at the end.
Grey is our resident carbie , he will go the extra mile to get it right Not surprised by what you did today.
Polished the dust off my trophy winning SL 125 Honda ready for photos at bike shop for local newspaper advertising the Blue Ribbon weekend coming up.
Did a proper evaluation of my nose fairing today. (In hindsight, that should've been first on the list). Doesn't look too promising. There's more damage to it than I thought. At this point, I'm not sure whether it's worth the time repairing the current ones or just getting an aftermarket kit. I'd come out on top if I factor in hours spent working on the bike vs same hours doing overtime at work, yet I don't want to spend any more money on this bike since I'll only be enjoying it for a few months before selling it. As it is, I'm already making a slight loss with the coin I've spent on it so far.
