I got it from Bibina, about half the price of what I saw on the net, got 2 bags but one was enough so if you've got indigestion from Chrissy dinner I've got the answer. I've seen them using a special gun on the net but it'd be an expensive way to do it outside of a cabinet where it's recycled. The downside is it's hard to see as it makes a cloud of dust even with the vacuum on. I did it as a trial to see the result & I'm pretty happy with the result especially on all the chrome & brass & zinc parts. The other media I use is garnet & it's pretty savage on soft metals like brass & aluminium but great for pre paint.
I used glass spheres (beads) on aluminium heads, carbs, etc at around 50psi and it does a good job without messing the surface.
I'll have to give that a go & see how it compares to the soda. I ran the soda at 100psi, I don't think it would have any effect at a lower pressure. The best finish I have ever seen was with Vapour Blasting, beautiful finish but the bloke here is way too expensive
I am about one day, an exhaust and a tiny bit of wiring away from starting my bike....But I can't touch it until the 3rd January! AAAAARGH it's killing me lol
I bought the little Jade some saddlebags after washing her and putting the cover and locking her down. Christmas time, too much running the mrs in the cage to family n such to ride. The saddlebags are Dri rider sports 2, $150 and a perfect side putting the straps under my seat, perfect for those weekend trips.
Got back from Christmas with the family and went for a short ride... on the way back, bike coughing and farting in low revs... bloody fizzers and their carbs again!!!
Washed all the mud and crud off my quad bike from when I was out last. Still have to replace the borrowed Yamaha oil filter.
Today I modified my dirt bike trailer so I can load the CBR600RR onto it for the trip from Melbourne to Gold Coast. Also made a new ramp. And by "I modified my dirt bike trailer" I mean my uncle did it for me because I can't weld as good as him!
Took my little CF 150 for an early morning 50Km ride out past some of the farms I used to work on when younger and fitter. Bike hummed along beautifully at 90-100Km/h. Filled up when I got back to town and it is still drinking 3.6Lt/100Km. The sales book says it should do 2.9Lt/100Km, but I guess that is with some 40Kg Chinese doing 50Km/h, not a big fat Aussie doing 100km/h. Was a real disappointment to see so much once productive land has now been cut up into 40Ha 'lifestyle' blocks which have a house, two horses, a dog and burrs and weeds as high as the fences. Shame, shame, shame. Supposed to be progress, but how can that be when we no longer produce food on this land, just rubbish?????
I have been away at straddie for a week destroying my liver, am home now and started each of my bikes to ensure the batteries stay charged, good news is that they all fired up
ha ha, how is this guys form http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...ning-night-screening-new-Star-Wars-movie.html
The guy claims in the article that the law states you only need one hand on the bars but I'm pretty sure you're supposed to have both hands on the bars at all times, even in stopped traffic. Now, we all don't do that but I'm fairly sure that's the rule. You have to simply think about it; how can you stop in an emergency situation with only one hand on the bars? It's not gonna be easy! Still cool to ride around but not surprised a cop ticketed him.
If only tin top drivers had to keep both hands on the wheel (no playing with mobile phones or doing their make-up).
