Help ZXR250 - engine start problem when engine hot

    Unlikely, a vacuum leak would likely make it hard to start cold also.
    It would be electrical, starter motor might be on its way out. If you tap the start motor with perhaps a screw driver and it starts up that's another thing worth checking early.

    How does a battery affect the start on a motor thats been started cold , is ridden , then doesnt start when warmed up??

    Starter motor could be sticking after warming up. Voltage within spec may rectify the issue, but without a multi meter its not even really worth talking about.

    What you need to do is to explain what is actually happening.

    Does it start and run fine cold?

    Does it turn over at all when hot?.... or turns over but wont fire?

    Does it have spark on all 4 cylinders when its hot ?

    Does it start after its cooled down?

    etc etc etc

    I dont see the word battery mentioned anywhere there?

    "Voltage within spec may rectify the issue" if that's not a reference to the battery then I would like to know where you bike get its voltage from when it tries to start hehe.
