just wondering if anyone has any tips on removing the seals the jets screw into?? I'm currently rebuilding my carburettors with one of blairs litetek kits and am having trouble removing these seals, they seem to just crumble a bit when I go at them but can't seem to get them fully out. A pick or a set of narrow tweezers will do the trick. Otherwise use wd40/inox, gravity, and a little percussive maintenance
I use a pick, you could probably make one from a paper clip or use a very small screwdriver to help guide them out
or a very large gauge self tapping screw which are the ones which have a steep taper just at the tip then there should be almost no chance of it going far enough in to contact the jet underneath
They come rotten from the Yamaha factory. Here is a brand new one magnified vs mine It is just a case of removing what you can and trying to clean the cavity.
Is that a seal in the pic or a washer to prevent accessing the jet underneath? The humble paperclip with a tight bend to a hook on the end can also be useful
