Yes, also very impressive, but blown. That Des Heckle 250 is atmo only. Plus, I think the Mick Hand bike was a little bigger than 250cc wasn't it?

Probably the cheapest Vincent out there at $32,000.

    Say's price on application.
    That $32,000 is a different bike isn't it, a 1950 Vincent series c 500cc Comet

Yes, it's weird, but quite normal in my experience. You go to Shannons Auctions and see a road going Torana/Monaro/whatever and it gets ridiculous money, but as soon as you turn it into a drag vehicle its value is determined by the performance it has achieved or buy the some of its parts and build quality. It is never anywhere near what its value would be if you left it stock. I guess that's what Murdo has always said on this forum I have to agree.

Those guys are nuts. Have you seen their races? Crazy stuff. Most of the jockeys make Linkin look overweight! YT is full of them.

From what I've seen, it's a bit like when you were young and played cricket in the street...you stopped playing when a car came along...I think most of their "meets" are held on the road!

Notice they are using little skinny tyres and not weighed down with that heavy leather stuff.

I'm wondering if the 95kg total weight includes the rider? There's not a lot to those "bikes" other than the engine and my guess is that has been stripped to the bare necessities. Bicycle rims and everything is drilled to an inch of its life. Scary.

Okay, for all forum members in the Gladstone area, put the 22nd of September in your diaries. This strip runs a Street Bike class and they also run a new ANDRA class called Junior Bike (like Junior Dragster, but two wheels). Be nice to get to this, but it's a 6 hour drive (North) from Brisbane.

9,586 miles is a long way to travel, and the Aussie Border Patrol won't let me in anyway.

    https://geelongrevival.com.au/register-for-an-event/sprint-entry/

The sprint is along the shoreline, which is curved. I went to enter a couple of years ago when they told me the layout I decided it wasn't something I was keen on doing. I've been a few times and they get all sorts doing the sprint. Great day out for any motor nut.
