    Hey everyone.

    Just bought my first bike yesterday. Its a 1980 yamaha xs250, its fairly rough but its gonna be a good tinkering/project for me to keep myself busy. Completely new to bikes. I have never had to much exposure to them. So looking forward to learning and talking to you all.

    Ahhh so thats were that one ended up...when I saw it on slumtree thought to myself, thats not going to last long at that price :D

    Yea ive been browsing for a while and saw it had only been up for an hour and jumped on it straight away.

    Thanks everyone. Starting to look for parts for it now its missing a few bits. Havent had a real good look at it yet though.

    There was another XS250 98% complete for $300 on Gumtree last week too, would have been good for spare's

    It looks like a good blank canvas though Terry, it's got some nice wide forks on it. As they say in some car circles "It's got a nice stance".

    Yea i don't mind the way its sitting. Looks good. But someone has done some sketchy welding to extend the back end.

    A mate and I bought a project XS250 not too long ago. I know he has a crate of spares. Let me know what you need, he might be able to part with something I am not sure.

    Still has the stock air box so it will run ok too.
