The MP4/4 was the 'most successful' in that it won every race in the 1988 season except one (Monza) and often finished 1st and 2nd in those races. It was a Gordon Murray design heavily influenced by his last design for Brabham (the BT55) and benefitting from Honda power. It was so good, the most exciting part of each race was seeing who would come 3rd and seeing if they could avoid being lapped by the McLarens! BT55 https://tinyurl.com/yyxywt63
Steve Nichols is credited with the MP4/3 and MP4/4 (Chief Designer) but Murray was Technical Director taking over from John Barnard... all of them brilliant engineers in their own right... and the MP4/4 was possibly the Golden Era of modern F1 cars without all the electronic gadgetry of today.
Says the 4/4 was designed by Steve Nichols around the parameters set by Gordon Murray... no argument from me on that... Maybe read the section headed McLaren https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gordon_Murray#:~:text=Brabham BT55 (1986),McLaren MP4/5 (1989)
Love it, Kiffsta. I saw it with my own eyes in the city today. And they're multiplying daily. I was relieved to see a guy on a Busa with Arrow pipes echoing along Adelaide St. All is not lost yet.
Is that Lewis Hamilton on the Scooter... oh wait... he is locked up in his hotel room in Bahrain and he was a woman to carry his helmet bag etc around for him... so it cant be him. Though in all seriousness he showed he can wheel Rossi's MotoGP bike around pretty quickly and does have a few nice bikes apparently... still a tosser though.
.... and a novice driver can drive his car in first place and probably should have won the last race by a mile
George Russel is hardly a Novice racer... F2 champion and this is his second season in F1 and has been doing a great job in a dog of a Williams....he made it to F1 without lots of Daddy's $$ unlike Lance the sook Stroll.... But Hamilton is... as the poms would say... a Bell End
