Thanks Murdo, I think I seen on another thread you suggested that colour for the fork legs as well? Im looking for it but proving hard to get in NZ even though we stock the same brand of cans at Supercheap Auto.

Been helping a mate get his 1991 tz250 stickered up for the Masters of Morgan park race meet this weekend , if you are heading to Warwick this weekend, make sure to say gday to #4 Ricky Rice This bike has had a full rebuild over the past 6 months, over 80 horses from a bike that weights just a smidge over 100 kegs, decals on tomorrow before the race, he only got his panels back from paint yesterday
I got a sticker on the belly pan Update from Ricky We got pole position in qualifying and 1st place in race one by 15 seconds. Still making changes to the bike to find some better lap times.
I thought I would just quickly check something on my bike... While I'm there.... I feel like a traitor, I'm enjoying the 750, ignoring the VTR250.
Learnt another motorcycle lesson today. Went and purchased some new boots and glooves. Yes @Frankster, I know my old boots were stuffed. Immediately jumped on the bike to shot off to a meeting in town. Oh ****. Can not change gears. I needed to adjust the gear lever position to account for the slightly higher sole and new stiff leather. I guess when they break in, gear changing will be a bit easier and smoother. New RST EVotech 3 boots and RST R-18 glooves. My old boots (Kore I think) were comfortable but lacking a good deal of protection since the plastic support structure had failed.
Last friday I had a rear tyre puncture, bit of an inconvenience but luckily I was already at work, and it went flat while I was there. Patched it no problem so I could go grab lunch. Fast forward to last night, just about to get home and hear the telltale noise of a nail going 'tick, tick, tick' as the head rolls around and hits the road while lodged in your tyre. Too dark to do anything about so I left it... got up this morning, dead flat again... Told the boss I'd be late, got on the bike and babied it to the nearest servo, pumped as much air as I could get into the tyre and took of for work. Already dead flat again. Got 3 bike services with 3 sets of tyres done before I could even look at my own. Luckily it wasn't too close to do another patch, so in the space of 1 week I've had to do 2 puncture repairs on my own bike. Next puncture is most likely a new tyre. There's a set of Rosso III's on the rack at work that caught my eye, but I've been thinking about getting some Road 5's as everyone raves about them, but I don't get as big a discount as I would on Pirellis.
Someone got a sponge bath... The most thorough clean I've done on a bike: I blame my boss for the excessive effort. Actually, I cleaned the other bike a week ago; 2 cleans in a week, someone call a doctor. Wait, the CBR got a clean not long ago, too. Call an ambulance! Cleaning is not my thing, a close inspection of the bike will confirm that, I'm sure.
I took my zxr250a for a rwc and she passed , then this arvo I received a text from a mate asking me to come with him to inspect a bike , what a treat .. an Australian delivered rc30, 2 owners with 20,000 kms on the clock , i drooled for half an hour then I left them to talk $$$ , I have no idea if he bought it or not ... .. hope he did It was my first time seeing an RC30 in the flesh, such an amazing machine for 1987 pic for reference , not the actual bike , In all my excitement, I forgot to get a selfy
Repaired a broken throttle cable for my second grandson's bike. I cut a short piece of 8mm copper pipe, split one side and wrapped around the thread and a quick dob of silver braising to hold in place. Adjustment is a bit short but was able to back off throttle piece adjustment to get enough slack in cable. Happy chappie.
Honda are re-manufacturing 150 genuine parts for the RC30 covering engine and bodywork, so they'll be around for a while yet.
