Found and bought nuts & bolts and put the panels back on Nix.

Put the seat cowl on Eric and attached the side rails. Bolted the seat on temporarily. Got a friend willing to weld the back of the frame back on.

Put more fuel in Nix and took her for a quick blat around the block. Managed to drop her but only at low speed and on the side that was already cracked.

Picked up a new loading ramp for $59 that was normally $129.

Moved the bikes out of the way so I could load Nix onto the trailer. Nix' stand sunk into the dirt, she fell on Eric and her seat got torn. Loaded her on the trailer, put bricks behind it, put Eric on his centre stand, then gave up for the night and had a cider!

Early 80's KZ250 Ltd belt drive done up as a Café Racer
    ZZR250, not sure of year

plus boxes of spare parts , the KZ250 and the Cibby are worth savings, the ZZR is good for parts

Not sure, the CBR250RR will be good spares for my track bike, the KZ250 is a neat little bike, it was originally a KZ250 LTD with the ape bars so it could be a good candidate for a café racer project, the ZZR250, well its allegedly has a dud motor so I will part it out.

    Cheers

    Chris

Only 400 km? I would have been happy to only go that far and come back with 3 bikes! (Provided I had room for them, which I don't) :p

Swapped the tank and left tank fairing over on Jack (CBF250F).
    He looks pretty spiffy now!

Swapped over Eric's tail light and put the missing parts on the rear brake assembly.
Pictures will be in the project thread after I've blogged it. :)

Noticed a burning smell while sitting in traffic for the second day in a row. Bike becoming rough. Revs increasing but not going faster, mostly in second gear.

Got home and topped up the oil, surprise surprise it was low! Glad I did buy oil while I was at the bike shop, along with a stand, lube etc.

Instantly running muuuch smoother, even more so at idle.

Picked up a second-hand set of matte black front and side fairings for the ZZ-R250 in Sydney on the way to Armidale. Weekend away from the bikes otherwise. The right fairing is in good nick, the rest are spares I might use for repair practice.

Found out my rear tyre valve was leaking last night when I went to fill the tyres. Leaked on an angle, stopped when straightened up.

Took the wheel off this morning, took it to the local bike shop, came back cleaned the wheel and the oil marks on the inside of the swing arm with degreaser. Purrty now!
