hi everyone top site im only new to bikes but i want to know how a 15yr old cbr250rr can still sell for nearly $7000 just curious where and how much everyone bought there bike for? i recently bought a 94 complianced 88 2kr exup with 31,000kms near new tyres new chain, sprocket and starts first time even when cold with no choke cosmetically it has what i call character cracks in all fairings and what looks to be faded original paint which is a good thing cause it will ease the pain when i drop it im buying the bike from a wrecker but it was a trade in not a wreck. with some slight persuedetion for $2500
yeah its because the cbr250 is for suckers same power just look alittle nicer (well the ones that sell for $7000 anyway) the bikes cost so much because theres so many learners out there and not enuf bikes youll see when you up grade you pay about the same for a 600 as you will for a 250 which is just crazy but what can you do i think the fzr is cheaper because there hard to get parts for and no one wants to work on them also i think there just not that well known i never herd of an fzr till some one asked me to buy theres
+1 with david ,and i doubt any sane person would pay that much, unless it was an aprilia unless you're mental

one option if prices rise to much is to do like a mate of mine and put 250 stickers on his 400 kwaka he has been done speeding on it and no one seems the wiser
Got my 3LN3 for $1100. Cosmetically challenged. Engine was decent. General maintenaince, cleaning, service etc and it still adds up to less than $2k.
Nah, it'll be extra to get it resprayed. Probably $800 in total including new fairings. But I've decided to abandon it and just use it as a weekend fanger. I'm thinking I'll sell it off as parts when the time comes for a new bike.
i got my 3ln 250r for $600 off ebay yeah its had a few problems but getting it sorted now so yer all up about $2000 with new fairings, tyres and new calipers so pretty stoked with it.

if you cant find anyone willing to do the work in melbourne, i know a brilliant mc mechanic in the nth east vic. did my valve seals and shims for under $500
350 euro for 3ln-3, missing left / right fairings, exhaust is knackered, starts first time, bit of an odd tapping noise, probably needs valve clearences checked. seems to be impossible to get spares for it in Ireland though.
