    Drop oil, take sump off, dry it out and then JB weld the inside and outside where the timesert is. Try plumbers tape on the bolt.

    It sure is. Unfortunately I don't have the money/space for multiple bikes so if I want another project I've got to sell the little CBX. It owes me about $2800 so someone is going to be getting a decent deal. I've had my fun with it and just happy to keep it on the road.

    Looks like I may also be picking up @kiffsta 's CBR400RR though so that will be fun :)

    Thanks for taking the time to post photos and some spec's... And of course that gold nugget of information - the owners manual.

    I saw the bike on Gumtree aswell, looking for a parts bike or spares. Good luck with the sale.

    I have my own CBX 87 project going at the moment, might be needing some of your input shortly ;)
