    Ok i'm gonna do it

    on offer is a 1989 FZR 250 wityh approx 26 000 k's.

new tyres battleax bt30 one done 2000 k's, one done 200.
near new battery (maybe 9 months)
    fork seals done
    new rear disk
    near new chain & sprockets
new aftermarket pod filters X 4
newly recovered leather seats perfect nic
3ln motor with prof. rebuilt 3ln carbs
motor still runs was running fine but developed a leak in head gasket. without water runs and can be ridden, water flows straight into cylinders and out the exhaust. no water in oil. bearings & rings good. turns over beutifully.

all panels matching (pearl white red & blue) small rust spot in tank from slap. plastics are in very good nick for a 30 year old bike
I was going to do it but i got married and the handbrake was put on (the wife put her foot down and said i have spent too much on it already)

i priced a local shop to remove head cut all valves port polish and flow head and refit with dyno told $800.00 for entire job.

Nothing needed to spend. tyres alone worth $350. pod filters- $220. carb rebuild $400, seats @$200. add it up.

many spares including additional exhaust and 3ln wreck with a few good parts still. 2 extra tyres, sprockets, chain, 2kr block with crank, oil pump, water pump, clutch, starter etc etc

come on fellas $1200 and use the thing for spares or do the head and have a strong bike ready for the road. it owes me bout $4000.0 before i lost count. nothing to spend for rwc. can view in bris will look at dropping off somewhere near bris.

call me 0409 566 106 anytime (dont bother with emails i am too slack) or i will beg my wife to let me turn it into a weekend track bike

    cheers

    There you go.

Question, Did she say you couldn't ride anymore? Or you just can't keep throwing money at the FZR? I could live with the second one, but never the first.

Since you are from brissy you might want to put the bike up on http://forum.twofifty.cc/. Raaqi put his FZR up and has had a fair amount of interest.
