Hey guys got a heads up from the gent at Stoney Creek Motorcycles who are also Motor Sport Imports who are Australias importer of the Megelli. The 2012 model is comin out around april and will be slightly more expensive because its going to have better forks n rear suspension possibly USD forks standard, better tyres, improved engine but will more then likely stay single cylinder, and a few extra after market parks. Its still in concept stage in japan (yes japan thank god they are stepping away from their 3rd world team) so expect it to rock up on the bad side of april.

Feel free to add any info, news or rumours on the next model.

    Cheers Tony

Stoney creek also made their own prototype 250r LC with more carbon fibre then a Lamborghini lol not literally of course but would be a stunning bike and some performance upgrades, im assuming with the carbon fibre underseat exhaust they r gonna be selling soon. They said they decided they wont release it because megelli keep upgrading their models and they said its not fair on customers to releasing a new modded megelli 6 months after the original arrives in OZ but they said they might put a pic or 2 of it up when they release their new website and they may go back to the idea in the future depending if megelli can release a more consistant model (eg. 5 speed air cooled 1 year then 6 speed LC the next and now the arrousing proposal for next years model) or if they can work a system to have them arrive on the showroom floor at the same time but Stoney Creek arent a manufacturor or a motorcycle customising company just mostly an Importer/ dealership with their own team of qualified mechanics.

I think Stony Creek should offer these carbon fibre options as upgrades for existing bikes, aftermarket parts are always a big seller and if they are factory \ distributor backed and dont effect warranties then I think it would be well received

    Cheers

Do you think they wil fix the bike stand issue, I don't feel safe if i were to tackle a corner really hard... IF it's not that big of an issue, this might be my first bike

There was no need to fix for the Australian Model as the issue was only on the prototype version in USA.
The importer rushed the review and let the bike out with all the "known" issues without even testing/rectifying it..... against a bike that has essentially had 15 yrs development head start.

They recently did a review on AMCN check it out on www.motorsportimporters.com.au

    Also here on http://www.facebook.com/pages/Megelli-Australia/170834316261928

All the current problems are fixed which stands:

Horn on full lock (prototype problem now runs the same switch blocks as Yamaha)
Side stand scrap (prototype problem no problems worldwide)
Cold start problem (rectified with higher flow fuel tap)
Hard to find neutral (rectified with updated selector drum)

Which was what has been done to mine to date.

Buddy are you telling me you can go from gear 1 to neutral
When the bike is idling, say you can go to neutral from gear 1
When your stopping on a red light?

    Yeap.
Apparently they been doing that to every new one.
I met a couple of Megelli riders by accident at Parramatta one morning.

We all had the hard neutral problem.
Going from 2-> N was ok.

    But impossible from 1->N

But since then I can get to Neutral from anywhere.

Idle or stopping on lights once even moving by accident (my fault for rushing through gears like im a racer)

I do have another problem not sure if anyone can help? My engine starting to get noisy so i've booked it in at the dealer. I'm not sure what it is but think of it as i rev it makes a ringing/clunky sound porportional to the revs.....i dont know how to explain...i just hope the dealer doesn't think im an idiot!
