They have a decent storage area under the tank in the front

Sweet inline 4, with a comfy riding position , not quite as sporty as a zxr , but still fun. My biggest gripe is a small tank but it has a 2 stage warning system for fuel

If I needed a commuter for work, I’d jump at one again

been quite a afternoon ,went and bought it, $800 with 2 1/2 months rego ,had $760 worth of work done on it 12months / 300kls ago and a r/w at the same time so didn't test ride it ,brakes were pulled down at the time /cleared, bleed etc but not renewed ,thought all good ,my legs were playing up so got a mate to ride it home .. first intersection , no brakes front or back … none at all .. intresting ride back (45kls) .. also said felt like only running on 3 cyd when under load .. reved out alright at idle .. HOPEFULLY INTERGRATED brake system with no fluid and a fowled plug, will look at it today as well as some reserch ...couldnt be to bad as same mate (hasn't any transport at the moment) offed to swap for a sidecar hes had but not used for yrs … mmmm would fit on the tdm850 quite easily …. any and all suggestions would be appreciated as never even seen one of these before … noticed only 2 carbs for 4 cyds , could the prob be there ? do the carbs have emultion tubes? if so are they permently pressed in ? etc etc

andych ….THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU … that carb overhaul is just what I needed badly … looked up the resourse page but only has the earlier gsx not the across , bought a disc manual off ebay but who knows when that will get here and your carb one looks to be a lot better ,be seeing the seller mon to get the transfer papers signed but will have a few hard questions for sure ..how come no brakes , checked front and back two separate systems and both no fluid and why he never mensioned it before mate started to ride it home ,yea I know should have checked /test rd it first, my excuse only 300 kls since r/w and brake overhaul etc etc by a shop I know and trust , but weird both no fluid in either ,leaning towards a bad coil braking down but carbs definitely could be the prob but again shop pulled the carbs down for a clean and new o rings and tuned so leaning towards a bad coil , looks like will be giving kiftsta a ring for parts next week …. also missing latch to hold tank/compartment down ,my guess battery went flat and took it off to get at the battery , only a guess its electronic same as luggage compartment latch , hope fully its still around … AHHH... p/owner bikes who would think anyone could stuff things up in 300kls

ya.. just ordered the mounts for the luggage compartment , exspecting the normal run around from a bike shop but when I rang the girl was incredible ,sent me the part catalogue to make sure was the right parts then looked up the avalibilty .. guess what none in aust , so then she contacted japan (I love the internet) .. they had some.. will be at their shop in 5-10 days ..$46 for the lot plus 13 postage .. out of curiosity asked about front and rear brake hoses , front $96 back not avalible , if needed at that price will get stainless ones made up BUT my faith in bike shops has been restored .. finally one that will get off their arse and make a effort , been a great day .. same day picked up a very cheap side car from just around the cornor , needs a little bit of work and a paint job , just need to work out which bike to put it on the tdm850 (maybe a hard fit ) or the bmw k1 have stashed away in the container (doesn't need very much work) prefer the tdm but got a feeling will have to be the bmw because of fitment .. damm might have to get a lotto ticket as they say things run in threes … opps maybe 3 all ready as andych kindly donated a coil pack to me .. thanks mate
