Can any one help. I need a dash panel for my 2KR as mine is cracked at one of the mounts. It was slightly cracked when I bought it and had been re-welded but is in need of replacement.

I do not need the instruments as they are ok.

I had that same problem on my fzr. The fix was to get some metal washers that are about the same size as the mount, and then I loctite'd them into place. Let them dry. Then reattach. The washers will take most of the vibration and the panel won't crack any further.

A picture is worth a thousand words - I think it is a bit past washers

Thanks to a previous owner who has tried to weld it up.

I'll ask around... but I think there is a better chance getting the whole set of clocks than just the mounting plate...

I think you will find that the early TZR250 had the same clock panel.

    Item 6 on attached pic.

Thanks for that 4l0 - I might try the wreckers and see if I can get one that way. My other option is to pull it apart and try and either mig weld or bronze it, but that will test my skills.

Amazing what a bit of TIG welding does. I took it to work and got one of the welders to weld it. A little bit of grinding and fileing and then a repaint.

Thanks - certainly saved $200 that wreckers in launceston quoted for a whole dash with instruments. The only cost was just a bit of time and effort.
