Looking around I can only find the size (6mm head 9mm long ) starting at size #50 somewhere in aus would be great to get the 37.5's cheers Simon.
choke as it turns out are the #37.5 , thanks to dontz informing me . so maybe I could lower mine so the bike doesn't rev quite so hard when the choke is fully on.
The increase in speed is not caused by the jet size. The choke has a mechanical linkage that increments open the butterflies throttle stop.
It adds more fuel when the engine is cold. Most IC engines don't actually use liquid fuel, but rather liquid fuel that boils off to form vapour. That which we call gasoline or petrol is a major melange of lighter to heavier components, or fractions. When the engine is cold, it can't boil the heavier components fast enough, so more raw fuel has to be added to ensure enough light fractions (which boil much more quickly) are present to operate the engine. Dave - are you sure there's a cam on these bikes that nudges the butterfly shaft? I was very much under the impression the enrichener rack ONLY pulled out the plungers.
OK Don Long time since I had an FZR so you could be right. I do remember the revs going up with the choke, so there must have been some mechanism to increase the airflow.
