he all just getting the rgv ready for tomorrows blue haze ride forecast 37deg so should be a cracker day this year they split the ride in 2 stages as some people dont like taking their strokes at of the metro area if anyone else here on the forum is in the west come say hello
ride report well we had a pre group ride to the stage 1 meet point which included my rgv, rg500 rz500 2 x rs250s tdr250 rz350lc hybrid rs125 stage 1 meet point we met up with another rg500 kr1s another rgv and rs250 tyga rgv road racer rd250 kwaka h1 and a h2 the weather started nice around 24 deg in the morning but after the start of the stage 1 ride climbed right up to the mid 30s . first bike to takes its toll just 10 into the ride on the first sweeper hill climb was a rs250 that dropped a cylinder (later to find out was just a coil failure) after a regroup we headed through the chicanes then straight for the roller coaster double dipper-who would ever construct a road like that i will never understand. then we cut across to the weir rd- one popular motorcycle route were two rgvs had tank venting issues and the tyga rgv bailed due to overheating issues. the kr1s though suffering from head gasket issues soldiered on to meet point 2 stage 2 here a fuel stop and gathered some extra troops rd350 h2 rgv and a rd250lc with no shelter at the servo the mid day sun come close to topping 40 then a cruise ride down to freo to display the bikes on the wharf in like 38 deg s waiting for the fremantle doctor to arrive and to move the flies along all on all a great day for a gathering of two stroke enthusiasts heres a link to a photographers online album http://s1314.photobucket.com/user/pinkbitspsb/library/Blue Haze 2013?sort=3&page=1
Hey Noah Sounds like it was a great day, the photo's are awesome. I would have thought the Fremantle doctor should have kicked in a little sooner, thems the breaks! As for the flies, well that's always been the WA royal salute. Thanks for sharing your outing with us, some grand looking bikes.
