Just been watching a bit of the opening Aussie race car racing at Newcastle.
    Always good competitive racing.
Not really motorcycles but lost of fun to watch.

For those that have been living in a hole and may not be familiar with this series, take a look here.

I used to do those cars for onboard cameras, they're cute and they're tiny inside.

They do have FJ1300 or FJR1300 engines, curious thing is as those engines are air cooled, most of the engines I've seen in those cars have a water jacket welded onto the cylinders.

They do GO also, corner a lot like Go Karts and everyone has always got a Cheshire Cat grin.

Yes, I have run with some on occasions when I have been at Winton in my little Formula Libre.
They look like a bit of a handful through the corners when pushed hard.
The net result - lots of fun to drive and watch.

I've been in the pits fitting cameras when they're taking to them with club hammers and angle grinders, they're built down to a price which is the point of them, cheap [relatively] fun and they're a very friendly group.

Shame is because I was chasing cameras on multiple classes I don't actually get much chance to watch the racing, being miniatures is a big part of the attraction to me, they're damn cute

Short wheelbase also adds to the challenge and driving excitement.

The current Gen3 supercars certainly look better (lower and wider) but the changes do not appear to have improved the entertainment as of yet. The little Aussies are just fun to watch. Always lots of activity.

I do like the look of the Gen3 supercars, we also used to cover the TA2 [Trans AM] series, they're the ones styled on your '70's Mustangs and the like, they look damn good as I'm definitely a sucker for muscle cars of that era styling wise
