Hi everyone, I have just been given a 1989 GSX250R that the magnets on the flywheel have come off and shattered. I am having trouble finding another flywheel, does anyone know if any other model flywheels would fit this as I am keen to get the bike up and running to go for a cruise.

I belive that Suzuki has lots of carry over parts between the Across and the GSXR250 , I have been told that the bottom ends are the same and the difference is in the head and carb's. Can you post a picture of your flywheel and provide some measurements . I have an Across engine at home with a flywheel on it so I can check your sizes against it

Measures 94 millimetres between magnets on the diagonal , 118 millimetres outside flywheel. Hole is 26 millimetres thick end of taper inside. Thickness of flywheel without starter clutch is 42 millimetres.

Flywheel has Kokusan GP9147 and 9B stamped on it if this helps.

Go to www.findapart.com.au and fill out the form. I did the same for a flywheel on my bike and got contact from like 6 different wreckers around Australia with one in stock. Funnily enough, I ordered one from brisbane and including postage was 50% of the price from one locally here in melb.
