been reading this all arvo. It's a year old but I figured some here might not have seen it yet... That's a VERY long way to ride a 250... http://brighton2expeditions.co.uk/siberia/
having just finished reading it all, it seems the lighter bikes had the advantage when terrain got rough... but I have no experience with dirt bikes or duals so I've no point to compare too...
Hey Artemis Thanks a million for sharing with us this amazing if not insane journey. Couldn't stop reading and maybe dreaming a little what a trip like this would be like! Who said 250cc didn't have it in them. An amazing undertaking and a great read. Highly recommend. Phil
yeah, gotta say having read this I went out to see what other blog-trips I could find... continuing the trend of a long distance on a small capacity (and keeping to the spirit of the forums!) http://www.thepostman.org.uk/ Summery: a young pom here in Aus discovers his visa has run out. he buys a CT110 (his origonal 105 died getting him north) and then rides home. To london. On a postie. Oh, and his 'planning' seems to have been 'hey this'll be more fun than a plane, right?'
