    So here's one for you

Going up a fairly steep hill here over the weekend, I lost a good deal of power, bike burbled past quarter throttle and didn't pickup any power until 12k

Pulled the carbs today to find this, the clip was floating around the diaphragm

Those e-clips aren't very robust - I put a pair of smooth faced pliers on them and give them a wee squeeze once reinstalled

I've had this happen on one of my 3LN's in the past, it was not a fun experience. Aftermarket clips were no good, I put the originals back in and it never happened again.

mmm, maybe I will pull it back apart and replace the other clips with the ones from the spare carb

Make sure you have the clip, metal washer and the plastic shim all fitted.

Check this post for clarification of the needle/shim settings - if you have 4 x 5CT7 needles, the 05.mm shim washer should be below the centre two needles

The table at the top of the page with the 3LN1 settings has an error in that regard
