    OEM states rear tyre size as 140/60 R18
    PO has put on 140/70 R18
    Does the larger aspect have pros/cons?

    Anyways, both tyres need replacing and from reading past discussions posts it would appear that the Dunlop gpr 300’s are a good mix for grip & longetivity.
    (the alpha 14’s sound unreal for the twisties - but realistically, there would be more freeway commuting than twisties, for me at least)

    Would folk here recommend staying with OEM tyre size?

    Yes, OEM sizes are best unless you know what you're doing, why, and what it will achieve.

    GPR300's are available in 110/70/17 and 140/60/18 - the standard sizes.

    Not sure where you are in Melbourne, but Pablo's Tyres in Mulgrave are pretty good and I'm sure they'll price match. Not sure about a free T-shirt & lollies, but if you take your rims down there they'll fit and balance for less $$$.

    @Murdo

    I used to work for a confectionary company.
    This was my “reward”

    @Frankster

    I have had a great association with Rick & Steve from Pablo’s.
    They call Rick the “Rubberman”
    He really knows his stuff.
    And he is 5 mins away from work. I’m sure he’ll help me out again.

    Yep, I only use Pablo's. Good guys. They don't give me any money, but I have their sticker on my race bike.
