I dig it, 87 sales + 99.3 positive feed back makes me optimistic. The way the spark would fire would be similar to the side gapping concept & it also looks like it would take up more room in the chamber for higher compression. 3% horse power isnt an outrageous claim. Ill give it a go 3% of 40hp is 1.2hp gain, we will see about that!
Apparently there was a comprehensive test done by a german magazine. http://highperformancesparkplug.com...-results/bmw-motorcycle-dyno-testing-results/ I have not been able to find a full copy of it but at least there seems to be some evidence.
i actually have gone to multiple brisk websites and cant find any spark plug resembling that on the e-bay page with these dimensions 10mm 19mm-3/4" 16mm-5/8" The fact that the ebay store does actually list the brisk part number is a bit suspect as well.
I would be a bit doubtfull of the 3% claim. As compared to what? Fitting new standard plugs compared to worn out old ones would probably give you 3% increase. There have been many different types on 'new' plugs marketed over the years, all with amazing HP increase claims. The biggest advantage I can see with these type would be to prevent fouling from over rich mixtures, or in a two stroke. Mercury outboard engines (two stroke) used a very similar plug to prevent fouling. For my money I prefer to use standard plugs and change them often as this also gives me a chance to check on how the cylinder is running. I have used the platinium pin electrode type with good success for long life in both bikes and cars. If you want to try the Brisk plugs I would like to hear your opinion. They may do as claimed, if so I would try them too.
Futher information is the brisk plug that fits the RR is the ar10zs which is part of the list on this site http://www.brisksparkplugs.com.au/products/assortment.php. They can be purchased from http://www.oppracing.com/product_display/155344-brisk-spark-plug-ar10zs/ The ones from the ebay store seem to have a matching site at http://www.magnumtuning.com/en/detail/brisk-performance-spark-plug/racing-series-premium/ar10zs but the photos are a little miss leading compared to the ones shown at http://www.oppracing.com/product_display/155344-brisk-spark-plug-ar10zs/ Doesnt seem to be many reliable reviews on the net about them and the reviews seems to vary from bike to bike. I doubt there is any info on the net about someone trying them in an mc22 so I'll be pinny gig and give it a go. ill just swap back if its no good and another mystery will be solved.
