Hi Folks, I've had this bike for a while, it's been running, suffers from intermittent difficulty stating, have checked the spark, fails to fire sometimes, after checking wiring and testing signal gen I assumed worst case and purchased an aftermarket box specified as suitable for the Suzuki 250 fours, the unit was labelled CD11, the new CDI was installed and produced a reliable spark in the bench test however, the bike would not run at all.
After connecting a timing light I found with this unit the spark was occurring approx 30 Deg (in crank rotation) before the the "F" mark, subsequent research turned up that the new CDI was equivalent to the part no 32900-11D00, the one for the early Bandits, the correct one for the GSF250P, (my bike) is 32900-11D10.
There appear to be heaps of aftermarket CDI units for Bandit fours on listed eBay and Amazon but when queried, the sellers do not seem to know which version they have for sale.
Have any of you guys been able to source the correct unit for the GSF250 P, NP, ZP, R, NR?

Sign up to a website called buyee. It lets you buy from yahoo Japan.
Do a search with gj74a typed in and double check that the advertised cdi had the right code for your model in the pics not in the translated description.

Far better to search either on Jauce or Yahoo Japan Auctions and then buy the items you need from Zenmarket.
Zenmarket are better on fee's and allow a stealth bid.. just look up on either of the other 2 for the Yahoo auction ID and put that into the search bar on Zenmarket... just be aware that anything you buy from the Japanese Buying houses will end up being about 3 times the A$ figure on the original listing. You have local freight in Japan, fees etc from the buying house and then freight from Japan... and that is currently the expensive part, but, if you cant access from anywhere else they are a good alternative.
