OK so got hold of Yamaha UK from the carb ID 3ln 20 they were used on bikes in 93/94 so they are in fact 3ln 6 /7 carbs but by the look of it they have totally different needles 5cdl25 for 1 and 4 / 5cd25 for 2/3
They all have different needles and jets on 1&4 vs 2&3, or do you mean the needles are different to something else?
Since you managed to get a response from Yamaha in the UK about such an elusive model, maybe they could help with @GreyImport 's sprocket problem. The parts book has the wrong part number for the sprocket. http://2fiftycc.com/index.php?threads/grasshoppers-fzr-3ln3.2004/page-4 cheers Blair
The needles on the 3ln 20 are different between carb 1/4 and 2/3 I can see the physical difference Were as the 3ln 00 carbs have all the same needles across the board markings the same and no physical differenceat all I know the needles have a shim washer on all for carb 2/3 presume to richen the mixture
Bolloxs I mean the needles for both sets of carbs are physically totally different between the two sets and on the 3ln00 set they have a shim washer on carb 2/3 Set 3ln20 have shim washers on all the needles and 2/3 needles are physically different from 1/4
Yes, that is because the 3LN6 & 7 run Zeal cams and other bits and pieces. So they are slightly detuned and the redline is also a bit lower.
Cheers I might swap the needles between carbs once I get one or other set sorted will update this when I get chance to There is one good improvement I noticed the 3ln20 has anti vibrate plastic shims that have a locating tab fits into the slide
OK had to strip down the 3ln00 carbs again because I can't get them to stop flooding and running at 6tho idle and got three of the throttle butterfly's out the one for cylinder 3 was as I suspected bent to buggery haven't got the last one out due to one screw head mashin and yep I have a jis screwdriver so my question is are they a listed part somewhere or do I need to make one up from scratch ?
Suzuki from the GSX-R250 GJ73 if the carbs are the same size then that should fit. Part number is 13551-06C00 Why do you keep calling the bikes 3LN00 and 20? That is very confusing, for me at least. They are 3LN1, 3LN3, 3LN5, 3LN6 & 3LN7. Those designations are used at the top of every page in the parts book. cheers Blair
Thanks Blair only reason I was using the code off the carb didn't think to call them 3ln1 / 3ln6/7 Been ringing around seems I will have to get some made depending on cost
