With all the newer bikes deleting the kick start, it is sometimes necessary to jump start your bike, or someone else's bike. I have had a couple of batteries die on me this winter which has been a pain in bum too.
On my ST1100 that burnt a while ago I had an Anderson plug permanently wired to the battery, and a set of leads with another plug, 1.5 metres of cables and spring clips on end. These weren't with the bike when I lost it, so I still had them.
I replaced the battery on my 650 Dominator and bought new Anderson plug, 6mm twin wires and terminals to fit onto it at the same time.

I mounted the plug to the frame behind the seat for easy access so now I can plug and jump another bike, or mine from another bike if the need arises.

I carry the leads in my tank bag.
