My bike crashesd today causing damage to the top , lower left faring and left seat faring.

The handle bars are straight and the frame is ok and engine is good.

How much do the farings cost? Can the 400 farings work?

Ummm I dont think that the FZR400 fairings will work seen as the are slightly larger. Could always cut them down I spose. When my bike got droped I just fiber glassed the fairing up and then boged the un even areas up and it looks fine, But if u could post some bikes up of the fairings or send them to my email jarmizz@hotmail.com I could maybe help u alittle more.

Recently (2 months ago) at wreckers I asked about a set of fairings for a fzr (had a really nice colour scheme, and wanted to know how much it would cost). His reply: 400 for each side individually, or 600 for both. I don't know if this is excessive, but hopefully you will be able to repair. Cracks, scrapes etc. can all be repaired. The only thing that will be difficult is if there are pieces missing. Also a good time to consider repainting if you ever felt like it...

    oh

Man thats so expensive frggin hell. I found some along time ago in Aus for 250 each side brand new. I forgot the factorys name but they made new fairings for the FZR (all fairins including tail and front etc etc). They are made in fiberglass and panted white for you to apply stickers. But I smashed my side panel and it had big peice missing. I was still able to repair it and you wouldnt be able to tell its be smashed. But yeah wreckers are rip offs.

hey jarmizz i sent the pictures of the bike farings check the email.

A new top faring from japan cost $ US 375.756 and the shipping is so the total will be $ US281.808.

    Isn't it a bit high

    Fairings

    Hey dude,

Yeah sorry ive been busy lately. You could fix your side fairing. Mine was worse off, and all mine took was some fiberglass, a product called KneedIt and some bog. Its kinda like a jigsaw puzzle but instead of fitting the peices given you have to make the peices. Its easy once you start to do it. With the top fairing that is past being repaired, you will have to get a new part. As that price for the top fairing, thats very expensive, look around wreckers or ask around forums like, www.exupbrotherhood.com or www.cbr250.com those type of sites. I wouldnt pay that much but then again if you have the money why not. Like I said before, dont buy a new side fairing till you have tryed to fix the one you have got, grab some bog and fiberglass and give your self a day and fix it, once you start you will relise how easy it is.
